👐 Neeraj accepts the "right" clients. We do things a little different - quality preparer, education and planning. Becoming a client is as simple as 1-2-3!
1. Call the office at 585-377-0700 and mention that you are interested.
2. Neeraj will call you back to make sure we are on the same page, and you are a "right" fit.
3. Assuming our expectations are aligned, then we will schedule an appointment or we will give you directions to turn in your documents by mail (for those clients out of the area or out of state).

Preparing for the first meeting
CHECKLIST for first meeting - income tax preparation:
* I prefer receiving hard copies of the items below instead of soft copies. It makes my life easier and your fee low - a win-win! * So, please don't just email me your stuff before getting my okay - because I will tell you to bring your tax docs in-person or alternatively I will ask you to mail this supporting info in a nice priority mail via USPS. 😊
General Information:
- Prior year's completed and filed tax return (all pages, both federal and state)
- Cover Letter - include short paragraph and let me know any information that I should know or focus on
- Include all Contact Information and Identifying Data - a) current mailing address, b) phone number, c) email address, d) social security number, and e) date of birth. It is helpful to have phone number and email address for both people, if married.
- Dependents? If so, need full name (as it appears on the social security card), social security number, and date of birth
- Copy of your driver's license (both front and back) - for taxpayer and spouse
- Bank Routing Number and Account Number (voided check is helpful, but not necessary) - for direct deposit of refund or electronic withdrawal of balance due.
- State anything important that I should focus on, such as: a) moved into or out of the state, b) purchased a rental property, c) started a business or received 1099 income, d) planning to retire, e) kids getting close to college, etc...
Tax Documents:
- All tax documents that came in the mail (some places provide online - if so, please print out for me) - W2, 1099, 1098, etc
- Itemized Deduction information (property taxes, mortgage interest paid Form 1098-INT, charitable donations)
Profit & Loss Summary (P&L) for Sole Proprietorship or Rental Income:
- One page P&L for sole proprietorship (business)
- One page P&L for rental income (separate P&L for different property)
- SEE BELOW for sample P&L statements
* If you have a business or rental, then let's talk so you and I are on the same page of what info I need and how the info should be presented.
Other Information:
- Significant cash outflows during the year (just let me know) - often there may be tax benefits
- Any cash inflows during the year - let me decide whether it needs to be reported

👐 Our firm prefers to talk (over emails). Tax season is so stressful, and our email accounts get swamped. We log every phone call and respond at a much faster rate.
So, if you want to hear from us, then call us (and leave a message on our voicemail). I promise we will return the call (only if you leave a message).
I cannot promise anything with emails.
Oh, one more thing - don't be surprised if we don't pick up the phone during the heat of tax season because we are super focused on the tax return on our desk. Returns require our attention.
